VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a Senior Program Analyst in Lexington Park, MD to support the PMA 265 Program. The successful candidate will be part of a highly professional, results-oriented company and will serve as a Senior Technical Lead, who will provide direct technical and program management support, while also assisting with day-to-day operations within the CORE Avionics IPT. Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
 

  • Work in a team environment and provide engineering and technical support for the F/A-18 A-F avionics and subsystems upgrades.
  • Assess, manage, and track all avionics and subsystems technical issues, design initiatives, test results, upgrades, alternative solutions, obsolescence impacts, age-related issues, risks, and corrective actions and provide sound recommendations to ensure timely accomplishment of established milestones and technical objectives are met.
  • Evaluate Engineering change requests, Aircraft Discrepancy Report, technical solutions and draft/coordinate Interim Flight Clearances.NATIP Flight Manual/NATOPsChange Proposals, Technical Directives, Specification Change Notice etc.
  • Draft and coordinate avionics and subsystems Flight Clearance requests, justifications for Trade Studies, technical planning reviews of Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) estimates, and responses to Hazardous Material Reports.
  •  Coordinate, support, and attend Quarterly Risk Reviews, Technical Coordination, System Safety Working Group, and Avionics Integrated Review meetings.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Analyze design, develop, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with the various Aircraft avionics Subsystem products associated with the F/A-18 and their vendors. 
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Must possess or be able to rapidly develop a working knowledge of Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes, NAVAIR Flight Clearance Policy, Risk Management principles, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles, Naval Aviation Maintenance Discrepancy Reporting Program (NAMDRP), Naval Aviation Maintenance Program 4790.2A policies, DoD 5000 series regulations, and familiarity of the Naval Aviation Subsystems Integrity Program (NASSIP) program.

 

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related field from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years conducting a wide range of engineering and technical research.
  • MS or MA Degree in an Engineering or Science related field can be substituted for four (4) years of experience.

Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, VISTA will consider only applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
