ANG GeoBase Project Manager
VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an ANG GeoBase Project Manager. The position will be located at Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The Project Manager will provide geospatial information systems (GIS) leadership and management to the Air National Guard and associated entities. The Project Manager will be responsible for the standardization and coordination of GIS systems and activities across the ANG mission support spectrum and is responsible for all services performed under the contract.

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an ANG GeoBase Project Manager. The position will be located at Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The Project Manager will provide geospatial information systems (GIS) leadership and management to the Air National Guard and associated entities. The Project Manager will be responsible for the standardization and coordination of GIS systems and activities across the ANG mission support spectrum and is responsible for all services performed under the contract.
The Project Manager will deliver tasks that are in accordance with the ANG GeoBase Program vision, mission, objectives, and goals with a focus and responsibility to:
- Ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's information system functions, standards, processes and procedures.
- Provide comprehensive Geospatial program management and project management
- Define and establish program objectives and/or performance goals and assess progress
- Analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions
Knowledge and Experience:
- Geospatial program management and project management
- Proven experience developing strategic plans and implementation plans for geospatial technologies
- Experience designing and implementing large (enterprise) geospatial systems and capabilities, primarily, but not limited to, using ESRI products.
- Facilitation, moderation, and synthesis of multiple stakeholder community requirements.
- Knowledge of administering ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE services
- Understanding of Spatial Data Standards (SDSFIE) & Database Design (Data Modeling)
- Experience working with implementation of enterprise geospatial architectures and solutions.
- Working Knowledge of ArcGIS
- Understanding of Spatial Data Standards (SDSFIE) & Database Design (Data Modeling)
Education and Experience
- Bachelors' Degree from an accredited university
- Ten years’ experience in GIS, GPS planning, analysis, database development, design and data management experience.
- Background in GIS program management/development
- Previous working experience withe the USAF GeoBase program or other relevant GIS programs
- Familiar with US Military, preferably USAF
- Familiar with ANG
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
