Armorer

VISTA Technology Services (VISTA) is seeking a Armorer in the Bagram, Afghanistan area.

Position Responsibilities:

The Armorer shall operate an arms room ensuing proper security, issuance, return, and accountability of weapons. Perform inventory control, to include requisition processing, receiving, issuing and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Maintain a weapons issue log and property accountability system of record for customer. Properly store/maintain ammunition and other explosives as required. Provide basic maintenance (cleaning and minor field level repairs) to ensure weapons are mission ready. The Armorer shall be certified in the repair/maintenance of Government owned weapons and possess experience and a technical knowledge of the principles, methods, and procedures of operating a DoD armory. The Armorer shall complete and deliver inventory of weapons and ammunition, to include serial numbers, round counts, and hand receipts. 

Position Qualifications:

• 12 years of total experience or 8 years of specialized experience, and at least 2 (two) years working armory support and Training Certificate from Military Service or Technical School.
• Strong organizational skills

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be able to be granted a security clearance.
