VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking an Logistics Analyst to support our NAVSEA customer in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position reporting on-site 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) support to the Navigation ILS Team and stakeholder community
- Apply logistics principles and methods to specialized logistics support, sustainment, and readiness efforts throughout the product life-cycle
- Assist with preparation of logistics support documentation and source data, such as Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Management Plan, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
- Gather, analyze, and organize information from various sources and prepare briefs, reports, budget reviews, and presentations including the annual Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM)
- Provide updates and submit required materials to the annual BAM cycle, on behalf of the Program Office; review and update Product Support Data (PSD) sheets, obtain inputs from APMs, and justify significant funding increases for spares
- Assist with managing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), to include attending working groups (WGs) with the DMSMS management field activity and system In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA) and obtaining required updates to parts lists and bill of materials
- Actively communicate with product support staff, field logistics questions, and provide timely responses to data calls
- Support Integrated Product Support (IPS) working groups (WG), attend meetings, capture highlights, track and report on action items, and disseminate to program stakeholders
- Maintain various data trackers and monitor internal and external tasks and request for information
- Work independently and within a team to effectively manage multiple tasks within a dynamic and high-speed work environment
- Utilize MS Teams and MS 365 Suite to build action item trackers, capture and store meeting highlights, and communicate across the team
- Utilize SharePoint to properly capture and manage data, files, and workflows
- Travel as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of DoD Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) experience OR an Associate's degree AND 10 years of DoD Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) experience
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and updating Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs) and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Management Plans
- Experience tracking and monitoring program data and tasking and preparing presentations, briefs, or slick sheets for senior leadership
- An understanding of Navy systems and DoD Acquisition Logistics
- An understanding of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), with the ability to identify, and assess risk of materials and parts shortages or becoming obsolete
- Experience working with a military acquisition Program Management Office (PMO)
- Experience writing and drafting action memos, and research and drafting information and issue papers.
- Experience coordinating and facilitating meetings
- Experience with technical writing or guidance for logistics documentation
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition and maintenance requirements and organizational functions involved in logistics life cycle management support
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work tasks well independently as well as with a team
- Ability to travel when necessary
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), MS 365, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Active DoD Secret clearance
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with navigation systems/software Integration Logistics and providing acquisition logistics support for ship systems
- Experience providing Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) support
- Experience with NEPS
- Experience with data analytics and visualization, including the use of Tableau, Power Bi, or Python
Salary at VISTA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $95,000.00 to $130,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of VISTA's total compensation package for employees. This position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
